ASSEMBLY

The principle consists in assembling the sheet metal together by bolting. In order to consolidate the cylinder’s circular shape, the upper angle profile composed of profiles previously bent to the tank size in the factory, is fitted to it.

The structure is raised using a hydraulic lifting system.

ASSEMBLY PREPARATION

  • Unloading of materials
  • The materials are checked by the assembly team (quality and quantity).
  • Sheets, angles, roof, geotextile, liner, piping and boltwork.
  • Slab quality check.
  • The tank outline is marked on the slab.

TANK ASSEMBLY STEPS

 

  • Tank roof assembly (if a roof is included)
  • Placement of the purlins composing the metal roof structure in compliance with the drawings.
  • Fixture of the roof plates to the purlins.
  • Installation of the lifting system.
  • Lifting of the first cylinder.
  • Unfolding the puncture-proof geotextile and the liner
  • Fixture of the geomembrane to the upper angle profile of the first cylinder.
  • Mounting of the following cylinders using the hydraulic lifting unit.
  • The lower angle profile is bolted to the last cylinder.
  • The tank is permanently installed on the ground.
  • The tank is anchored to the slab by pinning to the lower angle profile.
  • The hydraulic system is removed.
  • The sheet metal is machined to connect the inside piping at the planned locations.
  • The geomembrane is pushed against the walls of the tank.
  • Installation and fixing of the pipework elements.
  • The piping tightening quality is checked.
  • Installation of the tank signage.

STRUCTURE COMMISSIONING

  • Partial filling of the tank.
  • The site is cleaned.
  • The works completion report is drawn up.
